最後の映画看板絵師・久保板観が暮らしたアトリエをリノベーションし、

Welcome to omean Oubai-an, a private designer house where you can experience the culture and tranquility of Ome.

Just a 3‑minute walk from JR Ome Station, this small hideaway rests quietly at the end of a narrow lane.

A Japanese interior designer restored the space with care, using traditional materials such as tatami, shoji, fusuma, and shikkui plaster, blending them with minimalist and modern design.

This refined vintage house carries the spirit of wabi‑sabi. From the small karesansui garden, you can see the mountains of Ome, and in the evening, the soft glow of the atelier gently wraps your stay.

This is a single‑story designer residence created for “living as you stay.”

The atelier once belonged to Bankan Kubo, the last hand‑painted movie billboard artist.

Its renewed design was selected as a finalist for the Modern Living 2025 Luxury Interior Award.
